Pack Your Suit Inside Out and Rolled to Prevent Wrinkles

Packing an entire suite in your luggage without wrinkling it is pretty difficult. Travel site Travel+Leisure shows how to pack the suit in a small area without ruining it with wrinkles.

The site describes a six-step method to rolling the suit so that the outside is protected, and the entire suit (including your pants) are rolled so they don't take up too much space. If you can't watch the video above, here are the steps as described by Travel+Leisure:

  1. Hold the jacket facing away from you.

  2. Turn one sleeve of the jacket inside out.

  3. Feed the inside-out sleeve through the opposite arm hole and pull it through.

  4. Fold the shoulder across and place a rolled up sweater or pair of socks under the shoulder to protect its shape.

  5. Lay the jacket flat, lining up the lapel and collar to maintain the normal fold patterns.

  6. Roll the jacket around the bundle, then repeat with the pants around the jacket.

The result should be a snug, small roll that contains (nearly) your entire suit. Should your luggage be more compressed than you thought, there are a variety of ways to remove wrinkles without ever touching an iron.

Whoops. Looks like we've already posted this on Wayfarer, our travel sub-site. Which you should definitely check out if you're into travel tips. Sorry about the mix up!
